St John’s Eye Hospital is the second oldest eye Hospital in the world after Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. The Eye Hospital predominantly cares for the Arab population. Political turmoil and ever present roadblocks on the West Bank routinely limit patients’ access to ophthalmic care.
